And so Halloween has arrived once more, complete with adults dressing up in varying degrees of appropriate costumes, hyperactive sugar-buzzed kids and pumpkins grinning out of every shop front. Plus of course there’s the chance for a themed cocktail or two – because who doesn’t love a themed cocktail?
And we’re not just tossing Halloween, but also Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a holiday celebrated in Mexico which begins on the 31st October and ends on November 2nd. In honour, our bar genius Dave has created three special limited edition cocktails available for the three days only, all in collaboration with Casamigos Tequila and priced at £8.50. Plus, they’re themed around classic horror films.
Why not sip on the “From dusk till dawn” (above) -a twist on a tequila sunrise using
Casamigos reposado, guanabana juice, lime and beetroot grenadine.
Or try “Rosemary’s baby” – a twist on a Bramble, created from Casamigos blanco, rosemary, apple, lime, egg white and creme de mure.
And finally there’s “The Amityville horror” – A twist on an Old Pal, created from Casamigos anejo, Campari, tio Pepe and chartreuse.
So head on down to El Camion and The Pink Chihuahua over the next few days to try our terrifying new tipples… if you dare!
